- This is the closest I've found, give them a call !!!
- Pets as therapy only takes puppies from 9 months, so they're mature enough. They don't provide specific training classes, but I would definitely recommend taking your puppy to a generic, basic training class. To be a PAT (Pets As Therapy) dog, your dog has to undergo an assessment by a vet or PAT representative. To pass the test, they have to be able to walk on a loose lead without a training aid (eg a harness), be touched all over and restrained without protesting, be groomed easily and not react in a negative way to new surroundings/experiences. After you pass the test, you're given information and tips for visiting clients, and then you can start. It's as easy as that! Good luck!
